Christmas Morn

Monday, January 02, 2012
I remember Luke saying something cute like "Look at the village" but I can't remember exactly what because I didn't write it down.

He loved his cape.  I noticed that I had failed to sew the velcro on and it was just a pin holding it together.  Can you say mother of the year?

And, like The Flash, Luke disrobed so he could wear only his cape.

Christmas Eve

Shepherd considering converting to Islam to hide her hair.  Kidding.  Mostly.

Uh, inn keeper?  I forget.  Whatever we was we were glad he was there.

The Holy Family with the donkey.

Kate as the angel, Ben was sore afraid.  Or intrigued.  It's hard to read him sometimes.

Oh, those wise guys.  Hilarious as ever.

Ben was so curious.

Schofield Christmas

Wise Men.

Holy Family.

Sword fighting Shepherds

Baby Jesus escaping into the cubby

Peter's face after being admonished for riding the Rody horse. Because everybody else was doing it.

Kevin was wearing "sunglases" that he made from the inserts of something.

Nana and Kev met me at the mall to do some much needed shopping. I bought one thing, when I should have bought much more.  This is a pattern with me.

New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve we had to drive in to San Francisco to meet Bryan so we could trade back cars.  Bryan found a beautiful trail for us.  As you can see, I was all glammed up so I could go straight to New Year's Eve partying.

Ben didn't care for the backpack or the mei tei, and I ended up just carrying him.  He needed a good view and he couldn't wait to get down and explore.  He 'jumped' in my arms all the way down the hill.

On the way home we stopped at Ikea.  The as-is section was good to us, as always.  Mac was excited to see the kitchens, but they were all torn out!  The boys had a blast.

It was a great way to end the year...

Utah Trip

Looking back on the Utah pictures...

Lainey and Jonah both had parts in the Participlay at Treehouse.
Luke ran around and can't wait to go back.

Ben wanted to keep up with his cousins.  Here he climbed up on the couch with Calvin.

Ben is a big fan of brooms.

No joke.

Assembling Legos.

I wish I had a shot of Mac's boyish grin.  He loved it.

Recipe for fun: Videos, Pirate's Booty, and a cousin.

Luke learned a new rule: Only hit swords with swords.

Cousin bath!

Reading books.

PK and BK with Ben.

More reading.
